One of the [9/11 Commission] recommendations, on which Congress has gotten an F, that is sitting in [Reichert's] subcommittee, was the recommendation that Homeland Security funding be allocated according to risk, instead of pork barrel politics. Some areas of the country are more at risk for terrorist attacks than others, so let's make sure that there's adequate funding to protect the areas at highest risk. It makes sense, it's a very non-partisan thing. There are five bills that have been introduced to address that particular issue. If we want to talk about protecting the American people, we have to start with the full implementations of the 9/11 Commission recommendations, and Dave Reichert is the biggest obstacle to that happening.
